Laszlo has tracked the shim+GRUB2 issue down to a specific broken commit in a 
recent update and a scheduled update to shim 0.9/1.0 is being coordinated by 
Peter, who will followup.

(Red Hat folks - let's keep followup public on this one since we are also 
tracking in RHEL)
