at least the major kernel version makes sense, because 5.0 had a lot of changes to this driver. It might be some timing critical issue, which is triggered by a kernel config change or a change in the mmc core. Can you please point me to the kernel config of 5.0.17? Are there any additional changes to the mainline kernel?
