The underlying reason is the same as with the SD card: DMA memory
configuration/translations. It'll take a while to fix this properly but until
then you can add "total_mem=4095" into config.txt (under the [pi4] section).
You'll lose 1MB of memory but your keyboard will work in GRUB. A reasonable
trade-off if you ask me :).
