Hello ARMCHAIR,

  As  far  as  I  know corporate-run prisons have become the
newest  trend  in keeping criminals locked up. Firms such as
Pricor  and  Corrections Corporation of America run a prison
or jail for profit. The more the public fears crime, and the
more  the  politicans  cry  for "get tough" legislation, the
more   profits  thay  can  realize.  So, how realistic is to
assume  that  these corporations contribute large amounts of
money to lobby for tougher laws, and longer sentences?
