Last night I started reading the book I got through Amazon VIne. It is The Painter of Battles by Arthuro Perez-Reverte. I am so NOT in the mood for this book and I'm afraid I won't do it justice. I think this writer is brilliant and wish I could wait until I am in the mood for it. Since it is a free book from Amazon Vine, I'm pretty sure they want me to read it ASAP and get a review up. I found the first 20 pages to be very dry and hard going. I guess I'm a trashy kind of gal because I'm in the mood to read my "trash" or what other people would probably consider trash. I just consider it good reading :) Who knows, maybe it will grab me pretty soon. That reminds me of when I mentioned on one of these two groups that The Other Side of Midnight by Sidney Sheldon was one of my favorite books. A woman immediately posted, "The Other Side of Midnight? That's trash!" I didn't know whether to laugh or take offense so I chose laughter. Pam from Texas So many books and emails So little time
