Or do you only mean to support Sheeva adapter? Then I guess there is no problem with adding only one or two modules. All in all the root over NFS is a nice thing(TM). Add to it loading the kernel and initrd images over network and you have solution that can speed up development very much (e.g. you don't need to re-flash the on board memory).
