Whatever happened to the popular awards cannot be blamed on the organisers, since its a vote.........however, they could institute better nominees. To be fair to ZEE however, they dedicated an entire segment on ARR in the awards..........performed by Aishwarya Rai saying that there is no competetion to ARR......."no muqabla" and that he is doing the country proud in his efforts internationally.
So...........ARR wins what is important anyway.

Yeh Joh Desh Hai Tera was a masterpiece by our Genius plus it has
golden voice of A.R Rahman himself.If this song didn't win the award
and Swades not even nominated, what else can we expect from this
award.
