Although I am not the one to call anyone GOD, I cannot but agree with sentiments of those who do, because listenining to music that memerizes you is like nothing short of having conversation with GOD.
As you suggested GOD is only a metaphor. Nothing wrong then using it. Also sentiments are very personal, and if someone wants to liken ARR to GOD so be it, as they are entitled to that. One cannot take away that right from them.
