I can't imagine Deepa Mehta using anybody other than ARR for her movies if ARR is available. Even in Hollywood-Bollywood, most of the background songs she used were ARR's.
Listening to Ghoomparani and it's sense of pureness and feel of water, I get a feeling that the music of Water will be very close to this song. Boy, that just gives me goosbumps expecting more like Ghoomparani. What an amazing song executed to perfection. I think Swapna Mukherjee sounds better that Lata Mageshkar would've sounded, but I can understand why ARR thought of Lataji at first, after all she did ace Door Kahi Ek lullaby in Zubeidaa.
