I am not saying this just bcos I am a fan of ARR. But I feel the best thing to get from a singer is the job of a music director. Long back it was Lata Mangeshkar who said the same thing on ARR that she was surprised to hear the song after recording and wondered if it was her who did that. I hav also read that ARR picks from the multiple sample (takes) and puts the best bits from multiple instances.
