Indore, April. 8 (PTI): Noted music composer A R Rahman, will be presented with the prestigious Lata Mangeshkar Award for 2004-05 on April 24. Instituted by the Department of Culture, Government of Madhya Pradesh, the award carries a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh and a citation and is given every year since 1984 in honour of `Nightingale of India' Lata Mangeshkar, who was born here. "Rahman will also play his selected compositions after the award ceremony", Divisional Commissioner Ashok Das, told reporters.
