It is one of the earliest compositions from our BOSS .
This is the hindi version of " OTTAKATHE KETTIKKO ... " from Gentleman(tamil) starring Arjun .
Yes , it is true that this song is inspired .
It is inspired from a Malayalam Mappila song ( traditional songs by muslims of malabar area in kerala) .
I have heard my grandmother ( about 75 yrs old ) singing the original version of this great song.
Some older generations people use this as a stick to be anti -Rahman
I do not feel it is copied or anything .
ARR must have created this song , but the slight influence of the older song in his sub conscoius mind must have led him to make this song .
Another song which is also a version of a Mappila Song is " Suna Nahi Na Sahi ... " from " 1 2 ka 4 ". .
To obtain the original version , you can contact some people who are more knowledgable in the Mappila Folk songs .
Even our Boss has admitted that he was used to hearing too much of such folk songs in his earlier phase of life .
I TRUELY BELIEVE A.R RAHMAN IS WAY BEYOND ALL COMPARISONS DUE TO THE HIGH QUALITY OF MUSIC WHICH HE HAS GIVEN US ALL .
