A R Rahman given Lata Mangeshkar award
Indore: Noted music composer A R Rahman was on Sunday conferred the prestigious 21st Lata Mangeshkar award at a function in Indore. The award was handed over to Rahman by Madhya Pradesh PWD Minister Kailash Vijaywargiya and Culture Minister Laxmikant Sharma. Instituted by Department of Culture, the award carries a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh and a citation. Rahman was accompanied by his mother on the occasion.
