If the usage of shehnai is to be said I always think first of Tauba Tauba from vandemataram. there was once a movie in Kannada called sanadi appanna. this was based on the shehnai. Few weeks back one of the person whom I met who also happened to have learnt Sax at tanjore said that this movie and the tauba tauba song used Shehnai in the way it was never been used and no MD have ever tried to take such a risk. Bcos according to him this instrument was divine & compalex and a little mistake in handling or usage might uproot everything.
