As far as i know, the movie was launched in 1997/1998 when stars vijay & simran was a hot pair. At that time this film was highly hyped as it was the 1st time ARR & vijay was teaming up. It should have been released in 1999 but half way in the making, shooting had to stop because of some financial problem. Too bad though, this film could have been a hit had it released earlier but a weak script and years in the making destoyed it's chances and in the process wasted a gr8 score by ARR.
