the best of devi sree prasad is "thelusunaa" from sontham...the rest of the songs, may be hummable for a day or wo..but they lack life..
it is easy to compose music of such kind these days...buy music softwares...alter everything using buttons..what really marks the talent of a composer is the calibre..the mind of the composer..which he reflects in his tunes...except rahman,none of the composers today are bothered about all that..they want to selll something which they call music..

just using a raagam is not and cannot be the pluspoint of a composer.if that itself is enough, then it spells the degradation of quality..the benchmark.
 
i am not spitting fire at devisree prasad..but yes, frankly speaking..there are many other good..and far better composers than devi sree prasad and his contemporaries.ofcourse its a matter of personal choice..but yet, i think once you really understand what good music is all about(u like ARR right), then u may not probably like devi sree prasad's songs...except for few songs..like thelusunaa..which is his best...let him compose songs of that calibre..i shall acknowledge that he is a composer...for now, to me, he is just a music director.
 
easy man..just shared personal opinion.

In telugu, there is a MD named Devi Sri Prasad. He doesnt seem to copy our Boss. At the same time, his music is very melodious. Some of his great tracks are from movies like Anandam, Nuvvu Vastanante nenu vodantana, Sontham, Aarya.

Does he copy his tunes.

In every album, he uses a particular raaga and the song is definitely a hit like Niluvaddanu (NVNV), Edo priya ragam (aarya), telusuna(sontham), evarina (anandam). Can anyone throw light on this?

In fact in telugu, i purchase cassettes/cds of only ARR and Devi Sri Prasad.
