Kumar Sanu did sing for ARR on Kabhi Na Kabhi (god!! it was so much easier to spell movie names when people weren't bitten by the numerology bug!!). It was a remake of Anjali Anjali from Duet. After that, it seems, according to Kumar Sanu, Rahman did approach him, but he turned him down, cos he didn't think Rahman made good music, or even music for the matter.... Personally, I think it was really a blessing. Kumar Sanu is one singer I just cant stand. I find his voice very irritating, always did. Of course, I do agree with him when he says that there is too much Punjabi influence in Hindi music. And I do agree with him when he says that there is something wrong with the National Awards. But as a singer, he is too full of himself. That is why he got along very well with Nadeem Sharavan.
