Under the able guidance of his renowned father Pandit Kartik Kumar of Senia Gharana, he started learning the Sitar at the tender age of four and gave his first public Performance at Six. Years of learning and dedication have resulted in a prodigious technique and deep understanding of diverse Gharana styles. His open mind has led to an extension of his musical horizon to incorperate imaginative experiments in world music styles that delight the young and the old. He has performed all over the world, in prestigious music concerts and festivals.
