We should remember that not only did Rahman's parents give life, they were crucially instrumental in influencing Rahman's direction in life as a musician. Not only did Rahman choose to follow in his late father's musical path, his mother also encouraged him in that direction despite very tough circumstances following his father's death. I feel that we should be grateful for his parents' positive influence on Rahman pursuing music as a career and instilling great values and depth. His mother specifically deserves great recognition for her role and raising him well and encouraging him rise to great heights as he has done so today!
