Hey guys,
Finally thought to post something after the intoxicating album - THE
RISING. As said earlier, the album can be described as "ARR's slow
poison"
I am a little uncomfortable about the fact that no one is talking
about the song "Al Maddath Maula" ....
This is probably my fav song of the album. The song has a feeling of
19th Century. The Harmonium/Accordion sounds very "OLD" and the
haunting beats are awesome ! I love the lines "E Mere Daata .... E
Mere Maula" along with high pitch voice of ARR ...
Mai Vari Vari is great !!!!! Takes a few listenings to get used to :-)
Takey Takey is a little weird but lets see how it appears on the
screen. I love the little chirps and loops in the song... unique !
Sukhwinder sings with passion.
Holi Re , awesome use of shehnai and beats. Udit sounds as usual. I
love the chorus :) Guys listen to the song between { 0.41 - 0.48 }
seconds (just after udit). Simply beautiful !!!!!!
Rasiya.... I am addicted to this one from the first hearing. The song
somehow reminds me of some sort of garba-type stuff... I cannot
describe. Nice use of strings.... The song is pretty confusing and I
dont know what I feel while listening, neither happy nor depressed.
And, thats the beauty of it !!!!
Last but not the least, Mangal Mangal is a masterpiece. Genius. No
words left...
