He gives a bonus smile after every answer
He says
" Recently I did a musical concert for the tsunami victims in
karaikal. I want them to be happy. So we went there and gave them a
surprise. I have received applauses in many places
but to get from
ppl who has literally lost their future
is more than phadma Shri.
Despite their pains they welcomed and treated me very well "
" We are gonna do a concert in London
the rehearsal is on
.but
recently there was bomings
.I don't know what is gonns happen

that everything goes fine.."
Q: You started in koliwood ( tamil filmdom) and now in
Hollywood
.happy but have you forgotten tamil?
A; no! no!....done a song for S.J Surya, I have sung a song that
it says " ararai kodi thamilargalil naanum orun
.adiyen tahmilan naan
ungal nanban
" that's really true
even if I wish I cant forget tamil
can ne one forhet his birth palce?
But what to do I can not do much as I did b4. My mom is also
scolding me " What da you are not doing tamil movies but roaming
around the world "
In hindi field iam a tamil MD, in china iam an Indian, in Hollywood
iam an asian..
Laying a platform for the world to listen tamill music is a good
thing is it not? When you are doing such things we will lose some
other things.
But stil in this tight situation iam doing a ah, godfather and jil
endru oru kadhal
Q: All music director s are religious. Why?
A; There is a hairline difference between being self confident and
over confident . I have faith on my talent. I know that it is given
by the Almighty.
There is a story in sufusm " you can not fill more tea in a glass
that is already full.
But by the grace of god iam trying to keep the glass empty now and
then.
When we start thinking that we have done everything we get saturated
and can not give ne thing new after that.
There can be only two things in ur mind
one is GOD and the other is
ego.They are like light and darkness. If one is around the other will
go or vanish.
Q: who are the other music directors who have impressed you?
A; If ne ones music impress me the I can not give pure music. But
all good sounds impress me.
Q: have you listend to IRs thiruvasagam?
A: FANTASTIC! He invited all the next generation MD's and conducted
the function
unforgettable incident.
In our country music means only cinema songs! Iam seening
thiruvasgam as an attempt to break the concept.
Every one was praising the symphony
..Raja sir sitting besides me
said with a smile that he will do 100 corrections to the tjiruvasagam
That's the beauty of a creator
he did not think that he has done
everything he thinks that he needs more perfection.
He is working hard
.there was a time when I thought to be a artist
you need to have bad habits
but Raja sir has broken that thought. He
is only able person to do thirivasagam.
Q: ?After vandemataram you are quite?
A: I have a lot of ideas
. I want to do something re;lated with our
culture and civilization
after I finalize I will let you know.
Q: Assess todays tamil music.
A: to tell the truth
I do not get much time to listen music
but I
will listen to FM when traveling in car
. YSR is doing good
. I
also like what vidhya sagar does.
Q: at least do you spare time to your family?
A: Sure. When ever I get free time I like to read books but after
marriage iam spending time with my wife and children. I am unable to
put the same care as my parent s did to me. My children will
sometimes cum to studio
I will say a hi and plunge in to music
.!
Some time I will take them to land mark and get them toys and books.
Some times will take them to hotels.. When they grew they must not
complain that I have not done nething to them. So iam taking pictures
and saving it as witness.
My house is the ,most lovable place to me.
Q: What is your quote of life?
A: I have born new today.
