Vikatan has given 41/100 for Ah Aah, fairly high marks, considering the magazine's self-imposed standard of review. The magazine refused to review Boys, giving only 25/100.
Vikatan's involvement in selecting the title could also have influenced the review. I haven't seen the movie yet, but those I spoke to didn't find the picturization bad.. IMHO, if the Ah Aah title song had been reserved for Rajini, 1) we would have been deprived of this song for another 8-12 months 2) we will not have the pleasure of hearing another great song that is currently being composed for Rajini's Sivaji. The Deccan Herald review was not worth reading at all. It purely shows the writers personal feelings about suryah. And i feel that all the songs have been picturised quite nice. The Mailiragey song has been picturised in a very creative way. You guys watch that song again and you will know how creatively it has been picturised. Also the Varugirai song is really really vreatively picturised.
