Hi RAHMANIACS,
Seeing all this messages on Dil Se really made me happy. Its my top
favorite among all ARR compositions. And my most favorite song ever
is..."Dil Se Re" sung by the master himself. Its just an out of the
world experience that u have when listening to that song. The way he
composed that song, only he can do it. The highlight of the song,
apart from ARR's amazing vocals is the long musical piece that
stretches from 3:56 to 4:43...the way he has fused the sounds of the
violin & the guitar is just amazing...& when u see the video, at this
particular part u see those innocent schoolkids running down the
steps....its just pure brilliance by the ARR-Maniratnam combo...
& in my humble opinion, this is one video that has done full justice
to the song. The video just matches the song in every
frame ...remember the bomb exploding in the background & the dry
leaves flying on air as Shahrukh sings...:"Do patte patjhad ke pedon
se utrey thay..Pedon ki shaakhon se utrey thay".....o god...just
indescribable...a grand salute to ARR & Maniratnam..hamari dil seee..
for giving us this gem for which we can be proud for ever...
& the movie was one of the best India has ever produced. Mani Ratnam
dared to be different by giving us a sad ending...but the Indian
audience failed to grow up from the "happily ever after" syndrome.
But the later generations are gonna remember this movie & the music
as landmarks in Indian cinema.
& atlast a big thanks to all who remembered this movie & music, which
is well ahead of its time...
