`Sivaji` to starting rolling on Dec 1 By Moviebuzz Wednesday, 09 November , 2005, 10:24 Director Shankar read out the script of Sivaji to Rajnikanth at his farmhouse near Chennai over lunch last weekend. It seems Rajni liked the story and the way his character shapes up with different get-up!
However the story of Sivaji is a closely guarded secret but according to reliable sources, Rajni is rumoured to be playing Sivaji, a cop on the verge of retirement. He is an honest and upright police officer who hates injustice but is framed by the corrupt system and is forced to go on leave. How the cop turns vigilante and metes out justice forms the rest of the story. Shankar loves vigilante stories and all his hits like Gentleman, Indian, Muthalvan and Anniyan have been in this genre. Sivaji promises to be another fantasy ride using a vigilante theme mixed and packaged with Rajnikanths superstar larger-than-life image. Sivaji is all set to roll on December 1 at the new Pillayar temple in AVM studio built by producers M.Saravanan and his son M.S Guhan! Sivaji will start with the picturisation of a song tuned by AR Rahman on a set erected by Thotta Tharani. Shriya is in the female lead though Shankar is on the look-out for a second heroine.
