The BGM piece frm Dil se during the engagement scene has a Traditional bandish in Raga Yaman (Kalyani): Main vari vari jaaun preetam pyaare, kab aaoge more mandirwaa.. phoolwan sej sawaaroongi waadin, kab aaoge more piyarwaa main vaari... Its been sung by renowned classical vocalist Shubha Joshi n group. I know her personally & hv clarified with her. The song frm Mangal Pandey is completely different...when i 1st read the inlay card even I thought it wud be the same piece frm Dil Se...coz I luvd that piece. Its also been taught to primary students of Hindustani Classical Music in Universities. Nyways...thanx for pointing out the similarity... Swaps
