Rajni will appear in Seven different disguises
Contrary to the rumours that Rajni starrer Sivaji has been adapted from the Malyalam film Naduvazhigal, starring Mohan lal & Madhu, sources close to the director reveal the real story.
According to them, Rajni comes in seven different avtaars in the film. He returns from abroad with a mission to build a college which provides education at government college rates, without donations. He gets the support from the state ministry and he starts building the college. This irks the lobby controlling higher education. The ministry is voted out and new ministry comes in. They are backed by the anti lobby. Rajini is harassed and his project put on hold. He tries to take legal recourse but finally decides to adopt his own methods to checkmate them.
The tech savvy Shankar has opted for a corporate approach in selecting his assistants. He placed an ad which got him 2000 applicants. he then narrated the outline of his story to all of them and asked them to give it an ending. He chose 20 out of the 2000 as his associates for this film. Shankar had tackled the capitation issue in his earlier film Gentleman which was runaway hit. Apparently, he was inspired by a true incident where an ex-MP was allegedly murdered at the behest of college owner.
A topnotch Mumbai portfolio photographer has shot the promos and publicity stills with Rajini and Shriya at a special set erected at a Mumbai studio. The teasers and promos will be released during the making of the movie.
