Fellow Rahmaniacs,

Honestly, I didn't take the time to read the reviews of RDB. Just got hold of
the CD yesterday. I
had to travel to East London to get it. Fortuntely, just one CD was left. Even
the seal was
broken. But still bought it. Couldn't wait any further to listen to the songs.
While listening to
it last night I was wrong to think that the very first song that I will be
humming today in the
morning would be "Rang De Basanti" but surprisingly it was "Roobaroo". May be
because I like ARR's
unplugged versions like "Vellai Pookal" from Kannaththil Muththamittal and
"Thendrale Thendrale"
from Kadhal Thesam.

Some might compare it with his greatest hits. Some might say its not upto their
expectation. etc.
etc. But for me I feel ARR is unique so is RDB. The songs from RDB is not
anyway in similar with
the hindi music industry's current trend. RDB is not another Dil Chahta Hai. I
feel RDB songs were
surely and purely done for the script of the movie. And I am pretty sure it
will be a big hit soon
after the movie is released.

Naresh Iyer's voice is calm and collective in Roobaroo. BlaaZe should have
written more words
(Lyrics) in "Paathshala - Be a Rebel". Song lacks lyrics to Rap.

All in all RDB is unique.

Rgds,

Mirza G.
