Rehash is the worng word to use. Only HJ does rehash of old ARR songs. I think ARR rather works by inspiration. Well one old song "oru naal pothumaa" has inspired the "sowkiyamma" song from Sangamam.I think ARR is rather paying tribute/homage to past tamil song glories than rehash them. When u see a rehash as with HJ and Anu Malik (the King of copycats!). u will know it is one.
