My reaction was kind of similar to yours when I first heard the CD.  
However, it didn't take long before I learned to appreciate the full 
glory of this masterpiece.  Bangari Marori is a loss, but let's hope 
that the Indian version we heard before comes out.  Just 
imagine.....two versions of Water.....you can pick and choose the 
best song versions of each and make a separate CD!  

I for one am enjoying Shyam Rang Bhar Do's ending with the "Bol Zor 
Se".  I thought it was a beautiful addition.  I too first thought 
that the strings at the end of Aayo Re was too overwhelming, but 
later got quite used to it.  Just think, if you had not heard the 
earlier versions, I don't think you would be complaining much about 
the arrangements.  

Enjoy Water...........one for the golden shelf!
