hey to tell the truth you have to accept that arr has lifted tunes too......
the song " enveettu thotaathil " from gentleman is exactly similar to " swayiye ayyappa...ayyappa pahimam .....shabareesa "(whole first stanza ) a malayalam devotional song on swami ayyappa .....
and if speaking strictly u can say that " veerapandi kottayille " is same as a political slogan in malayalam which goes " thekku thekkoru desathu ......" first 4 lines)
"vaanila varum" from kaathal virus (second stanza) is full copy of a carribean -western mix ( i have myself seen the song in late night v ...cant remember the starting of the song .....i spent a whole day on net searching for it ..but couldnt get .......
the "oh oh oohoh oh ohooh oh " part from rukkumani rukkumani ...is inspired by one mettalica song ...
guys i once made a list of arr listed tunes and posted it to the group ( just after kaathal virus release ) and i got many confirmations that i was indeed right ....... does someone remember that list >?????......
there are only say less than ten songs ...... that happens with all music directors..... its just getting over inspired by some tunes and ending up resembling it ....
i dont think u can name arr as a "copycat " because the gems from him are all pure arr compositions in tune ( he has got a bad habit of occasionally copying orchestra , beats and instrumentations from western music )

if u read the page on the boss on www.itwofs.com you'll see that no tunes have been lifted from any of the original songs,only samples from them or indeed maybe from another common source have been taken.
