Hello Dear Co-Rahmaniacs! This is my first message to the group, though I have been a part of this groups since several months. I always thought that I was the greatest fan of Rahman, but this group proved me wrong. What makes me surprised and happy is that all of us think alike when it comes to Rahman's music. There are several instances where I could see people writing their experiences about Rahman's music that I have experienced too!
I have recently seen visited a site that listed Rahman at top 13 position in the list of Top 100 Film Composers. Thats really amazing! Rahman achieved this without composing music for even a single hollywood movie!!(Except "Lord of War", where "Bombay Theme" has been reused. I think "Bombay Theme" is one of the greatest musical creations happened on earth, this track has been used in so many international albums, that proves its indeed beyond anyone's musical imagination.). If you see the list, you will see popular hollywood composers like John Williams, James Horner & Thomas Newman. This is a great achievement for Rahman.
