A R Rahman is scoring the music for Shankar's Sivaji and they say
that the first song has come out very well. The song is said to have
an Arabic feel to it. Rajini himself had showered praises for the
song. Shankar had hired Harris Jayaraj for his earlier movie Anniyan.
How come that he booked Rahman this time? Contrary to speculations
that Shankar had fallen off with Rahman, the two are great friends
with mutual respect for one another. Shankar had opted for a change
because he wanted to break the industry perception that his films
became a hit because of Rahman's music.
Having proved himself with Anniyan, Shankar has brought back his own
favourite, Rahman. The man left in the doldrums is Harris Jayaraj.
Rahman too has realized that it is time he came back to his home
ground, the Kodambakkam tinsel town. He has lot of big banner movies
up his sleeve. Sivaji, Godfather, Jilendru Oru Kadhal, tentative
Dasavatharam, a movie with director Vikraman and a couple with
S.J.Suriya are few to be named
