For your information YSR told in an interview that he is very inspired from ilayaraj and ARR's music and he is trying to give something new from both of these maestros.
 
may be like ilayaraja's melody and ARR's style & interludes.
 
YSR is much inspired by our ARR

  i would never say he is better than A R....But he is definitely very good..And another thing i've noticed is,he's got his own  style......unlike harris or neother directors he is'nt trying to clone AR's style...
