The emotional power of Rahman's music once again shines. This song is extremely uplifting.....as if a veil is removed from one's face and light is seen. Love the ethnic folk flavor of this song of the celebration of Holi.....of colors. I so much appreciate how Rahman has added the violin touches in the background to accentuate the feelings of purity, joy, spirit. The beats are extremely catchy and the singing is just top notch. Wish more of the Indian public could hear this song.......it would be a chartbuster for sure.
The flip song of that soundtrack is Piya Ho.....intense, somber..poignant...communicating pain.....but equally as powerful in a different emotion.
