if i am right, grammy awards are given for mere music albums which are not related to movies i think. if thats so that buddhist monk may have been offered to participate in a music album mixed with a western fusion where he would have given his versus in musical way like this ekam satyam (ARR with Mike Jack). why that monk u know one shri. Vikku Vinayakaram from madras is a grammy award winner long ago as a Ghatam player (Pot-like) u know. he won this by accompanying the indian carnatic music-western troupe by famous violinists ganseh kumaresh here and with zakir hussian (tabla) from north with some purely western orchestra abroad. Even Sivamani (of arr troup) played drums for that vikku's concert.
so if ARR produces private albums similarly targeting the international audience with this indian classical with western fusion, he will enter into the nominations undoubtedly. only draw back is ARR will not dance on stage
wildly like those westerners. but its enough he does like in vande mataram videos. he will win grammy.
