hi fellow-fans, I wanted to share what i felt reg the good better & best songs of ARR. since there is an ongoing chain on the worst songs of ARR.
Basically, if u observe, some songs as a single track may be excellent, but still the album as a whole may not be great. for eg. How much ever Jeans / Boys / Kadhalan songs are great, it will always be ARR_Mani Combo which will be the greatest. Its got to do with the situation which has demanded the songs. The more the songs are in line with the movie & its theme, the better ARR has delievered, and the bigger the impact on us. In cases where the song itself carries the story forward / turns the screenplay, ARR has simply excelled more. The classic example will be Lagaan; or even Rang de Basanti. I never expected a song like 'khoon chala' to be used in the way it was. [are you really sure that ganan ganan is a better 'track' than some track in takshak] to really experience this, we need to listen to the songs the 1st time we watch the movie. its a long long time since i watched an ARR movie without listening to the songs b4hand. so even though i was a bit disappointed that even a masterpiece like 'luka chupi' wasnt played entirely in the movie, i believe if we were listening to it the 1st time in theater, we wud have surely been moved by it... So, if some of us may say that Parasuram as the worst album, it need not be true that, as individual tracks they are the worst ...
