His last couple of movies ('Duet' and 'Paarthale...) were atrocious; They had terrible and confused screenplay; For him to blame the stars and the music for the failure of Paarthale, is pathetic;
It is unfortunate that some of ARR's best music was for these terrible movies;

It failed but it gave me lots of satisfaction, as it has different
story and screenplay. I made mistake by casting two major stars Simran
and Madhavan in it. Expectations are high because of the cast and the
screenplay was in the backseat because of the songs. It would have
become a hit if minor actors were in it.
