Digital decoders ....gud ones like yamaha,marantz can cost u around 20k.some ver. more than that.always prefer decoder which has dts-es(true 6.1) and dolby-ex(5.1 plus one virtual channel) capabilty so that u r upto date.i think u r interested to go with the mix and match configuration,then u may go for the infinity,nakamichi,yamaha or jbl speakers.u can start with just two speakers a decoder and a dvd player which can limit ur initial expenses to somewher around 30~35k.after that u can add SW and remaining speakers in course of time.As i have experinced yamaha subwoofers will be a delight for the theatre which u wish to create.someone here may throw some light about the low or upper low end digital decoders here.
