well, i always look forward to racy tracks from the musical whizkid. b it Chaiyya Chaiyya, fanaa from yuva, or khalbali from RDB. we can spot numerous tracks in these lines. MAYYA MAYYA from guru is not an exception. I LOVE THIS SONG A LOT. the day i heard this tune in the polyphonic ringtone form, the day i heard the 1 min clip of this song, my expectations for this song peeked up.
after hearing this song fully, i really dont have any words to describe this song.. starting from 1st second to the last minute, this song hooks up the listener. listneres like me are addicted to this song.. m hearing this song atleast for 70-80th time. i cant restrict from hearing to this song. awesome song... most important fact in this song is the flow of the song, perfect voice selection and heavy percussions. man, hear this song in home theater system.. whole room will be filled with terrific bass, with sounds flowing from nook and corner of the room. perfect clarity. splendid transitions in the additional voices that are used in the song. i think ARR has used a definite bass effect in this song. i peeks up with the drum beat and makes the song wholesome. the flute piece adds addtional beauty to the song... the way the song starts is very impressive. i love the female singer's voice. also, the female voices in the background add perfect mood to the song. also, the additional programming complements the song perfectly. just look at the way the percussions build-up hugely when the words "ek soudha raath" start... the time when the lines "mayya mayya" start and the way it is rendered is a testimonial for ARR's perfection in carving the niche in every song he composes. i see the effort put behind every second of this spellbounding song. well cant wait to see malika sherwat dancing for this seductive number.. the way the male voice peeps into the song is totally unbelivable. after hearing this distinctly in the trailer, hearing it as a part of this song is a definite surprise.. hezi hezirae hezi hezirae... my god, the way it is sung by the male singer is mindblowing (btw, what's his name? any idea). its an unique attempt among many songs heard for aeons! m really curious to know how its gonna blend with the movie visually. couple of pictures where abhishek and mallika are dancing (in CD inlay card) gives me a clear picture about the way in which this song could be have been picturized. hearing this in a theatrical atmosphere is gonna be a great pleasure... highly looking forward to it (also keep on whistling!)... ALL these beacuse of the musical genius. yet another way to show the verstality of the musical genius. to me MAYYA MAYYA IS THE PICK OF THE ALBUM (like fanaah from yuva, Chaiyya Chaiyya from Dil se)... ARR ROCKS, ARR RULES! HE IS THE MAN, THE MUSIC AND THE MAGIC.. PROUD TO BE A RAHMANIAC... SALUTING ARR FOR THIS MASTERPIECE (GURU AS A WHOLE), RAHMANICALLY, -THULASIRAM
