In my last post i made a mistake regarding the meaning of 'keekar'.
Thanks Neena for correcting me. I have already translated 'Barso Re'
and 'Ay Hairathe', but not getting enough time to type and post
them. Hopefully, I will post them tomorrow before lunch. This is my
gratitute towards Arvind, Thulsi Ram and Rathinam who translated a
number of Tamil songs leaving me bedazzled. I am still learning
them. Here goes my translation for Jaage Hain. One thing I want to
say here, though the song spaeks about going to sleep, it actually
means going for a last sleep and perhaps this is Aishwarya's death
scene.

Jaage hain der tak
Had been awake till late

Hamein kuchh der sone do
Let me sleep some more time

Thodi si raat aur hai
Little night is left now

Subah to hone do
Let the dawn come

Adhe Adhure Khwaab
Those half fulfilled dreams

Jo pure na ho sake
That couldn't come true

Ek baar phir se neend mein
Once more in my sleep

Who khwaab bone do
Let me plant the greams again /* [ bona= to plant, here it is used
to live the dream again]
