In the interview with Simi Garewal, Rahman talked about memories of
his suffering / sad days he lived during his younger days, partly due
to his fathers illness.

He had attributed some of this and the melancholy / sad feeling in
some of the songs to that period in his life.

How true !

Time and time again, atleast one song in his album brings
forward "that" feeling. Take Swades - Yeh jo desh hai tera / Or
Netaji - Mere Desh ki mitti ki and Aazadi / Indira - Thota Thota /
Duet - En Kaadhale, Dilse - Tu Hi re.........so many, I do not want
to go on and on.........

In GURU, Rahman probably re-lives some of his earlier days in TERE
BINA. A son who has achieved success after hard work, must be missing
his father from whom he has received the legacy of music. Some of the
places in this song make me feel that in this part of life Rahman is
missing his father more than anything else. He feels that his father
should have been around to see his present success.

Maa Tujhe Salaam was for his mother ( Rahman said so in the a/m
interview ) so I feel, TERE BINA is for father..... Thank you Mr
Sekar (late) for giving us a son like AR Rahman....... Your son is
pride of India and millions of LOYAL fans like me....
