The CD cover credits Ranjit Barot for additional programming for the track in question. So it might be Ranjit, or even Rahman himself or probably a loop. After all the flute piece runs just for a fleeting few seconds ,have we not heard instruments playing in the similar pattern in many songs composed by different composers ... more of using the instruments in the same way, how many hollywood movies we have seen having violin movements in the same pattern.
