In 1981, Pink Floyd released a compilation called, very ironically, A Collection Of Great Dance Songs. It included one of their biggest hit singles, Money. The problem was that the compilation was released on CBS/ Sony, whereas the original album from which Money came, Dark Side of the Moon, was released on EMI. So, what David Gilmour, the voice and guitar of Pink Floyd, did was to re-record the entire song again. Note for note. No one except hardcore Pink Floyd fans could notice any difference.
This is what Rahman can possibly try and do. Re-record his masterpieces on his own label that he proposes to launh. What's more, with him refusing a lot of offers right now because of the copyright issue, he has a lot of time to do it!! Triply.
