Gopal thanks for the clarification. But still, somehow I fail to see how this 'directly' related to Rahman. Albeit, he did have long hair then, and did have delays with producers -- this comment to me seems generic.
I think here the frustration on JL's side is that inspite of coming up with good melodies, they haven't ever been acknowledged as No 1 yet. Their point of argument is that they don't change appearances (in today's world - Himesh) and they don't create fake arrogances (in today's world - Himesh, yet again) -- to create the impression of greatness. I have read various articles where JL have acknowledged Rahman's music and its greatness. So, I think this article / quote is totally out of context. More over, I also fail to see the need of bringing such cynicism to the group that should be more focused on great music, and Rahman. Am I wrong in expecting that? -Ricky --- In arrahmanfans@yahoogroups.com, Gopal Srinivasan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > I guess what people are taking offense to, are these lines > > "Just because we don't wear our hair long and keep producers > waiting > > outside our door we haven't been acknowledged as No 1 yet," the > > brothers complain rightaway, and then assert, "But our music speaks" > > for itself.
