Apologies if this has already been noted, but last week I met a person who claimed that the Airtel jingle was directly lifted from Simon and Garfunkel's Scarborough Fair/ Canticle. While the beginning of the song, the first line, "Are you going to Scarborough Fair..." sounds like the beginning of the jingle, I say it is more coincidence than a copy. The accusation that Rahman copied the song is very very similar to Bappi Lahari's accusation years ago when he said that Rahman had copied Mukabla from Raj Kapoor's "Pyar Hua, Ikrar Hua hai".
