With huge number of seats booked in the city multiplexes for the next week and shows running to 'house full' in the stand alone theatres, Mani Ratnam's latest offering, Guru, promises to shine Abhishek Bachchan's stars in tinseltown. Like the tagline of the movie, "villager, visionary, winner", Abhishek, is all set to emerge a winner. Starring Abhishek Bachchan, as a village boy who dreams and dares to achieve his dreams, and Aishwariya Rai, the lady with whom entire India is speculating his marriage, Guru is indeed receiving rave reviews. [image: Advertisement] Minal Vohra, a viewer walking out of Paradise cinema hall, said, "The movie is great and Abhishek gives a mature performance. Not only him the other actors make the movie a wholesome experience. The music by A R Rahman is fantastic. But the plot is the winner, it is truly unique." After Dhoom 2, where Abhishek was overshadowed by elastic boy, Hrithik Roshan, the former had a lot to prove in the movie where he does not have a superstar for support. Also, the pairing of Abhishek and Aishwariya, needed an assuring nod from the audience, given that their past ventures were dead failures. And according to audiences, this offering from Mani isn't disappointing. Priyanka Roy, spokesperson of Inox, said that there are 98-100 per cent bookings for the next week. "On Friday the bookings were 80 per cent. The good word is spreading like fire. The response to the movie is great. Everyone is saying that Abhishek has given a mindblowing performance." Tickets at Inox are priced at Rs 200 over the weekends and Rs 170 on weekdays.
