hi there i highly disagree with your statements 1. Vidya Balan's roll was necessary to bring out Guru's positive sides while all other fatcs were showing his negative sides. Now do not tell me that it was not necessary to bring out the positive side.
2. There is no harm at all in making a movie 2.45 hours long. All the great movies has lways been of big length. To show quality stuff and to bring out the details u always need time. If mani ratnam had made this movie 2 hours long, you would have complained that he did not use proper time to eshtablish the charecters. 3. Aishwarya is not convincing in the role. Please tell me if you are prejudiced about her. Otherwise i could not see any fault in her acting. Actresses do not have potential roles in the movies. If she had gained too much wait, she could come in trouble for other projects. Its very easy to say that weight was gained and lost, but it takes a hell lot of effort in doing so. 4. I can not belive you said Rajiv menon's work was just all right , nothing that great. Group please tell if even a single person in the group agrees on it. 5. It looks like if the critics do not get anything potential against mani ratnam, they usually start taking examples like Rain was used too much. 6. ARR's bgm is an average bgm. I again highly disagree with this statement. There was no fault in arr's bgm. 7. My friend when u say "better luck next time mani", do you actually know whome you are addressing!
