[Wednesday, January 24, 2007] While still basking in the glory of his massive hit Pokiri, Vijay has started working in his next, Azhagiya Tamil Magan. This film has two heroines, Shreya Saran and Namitha. Swargachitra Appachan is the producer of this film.
Azhagiya Tamil Magan, directed by Bharathan, has music by AR Rahman and cinematography by Balasubramaniam, who won accolades for his cinematography in Pithamagan and M Kumaran Son of Mahalakshmi. It should be noted that Bharathan is a famed dialogue writer who has proved his talent in director Dharani's films. No wonder then, that director Dharani was among the first to arrive at the venue where the film had its muhurat and started rolling. The other celebrities spotted at the function were AM Rathnam, directors SA Chandrasekharan, Perarasu, Jayam Raja, Ramana, actor Jayam Ravi, the film's lead female stars Shreya and Namitha and Vijay's wife Sangeetha. A R Rahman is scoring the music for the film. He too turned up at the muhurat. After the formal muhurat, the film started rolling.
