Thiruvananthapuram, Jan. 30 (PTI): Eminent music director A R Rahman was chosen for the Swaralayala-Kairali-Jesudas award for the year, Swaralaya organisers said here today.
The award carries a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, memento and citation. The award for all-round contribution to Malayalam film music was given to K Raghavan, who would be honoured with a cash prize of Rs 75,000, memento and citation. The awards were announced by Jury members K P Udayabhanu, B Arundhathi, Poovachal Khader and Rose Mary.
