--------------- The audio launch of sajni-Arr's first Kannada movie! The launch was last thursday-At hotel Atria, Bangalore.I had the invitation for the event, thanks to a good family friend.The invite was just for us to watch the proceedings, but things turned out differently just because we were Ar Rahman fans!! For a fact we know that Ar Rahman is a very very respected man but only here did i realise that being his good fans is also higly respected! Sabari and I, Nazeef, made it very early to the venue and the event manager told us the entire program was delayed.We returned, wearing the group's black arr t shirt under a cream colored blazer-and it seemed like it was Arr fan's official dress code!We were speciall Ar rahman fans for the evening!Now check out the priveledges of being a true Rahmaniac!! Both of us had seats reserved in our names, and this was pleasant enough as a starter!! The show was hosted by Harsha and sindu of big fm 92.7! And as the list of names were mentioned, it started off with arr's name and ended with a mention of our presence there! Following, we had speeches by the Producers and the actors all talking about the genius Ar rahman! The biggest surprise was we were called for all the official photo shoots on behalf of arr's fan club!! What seemed to send waves throughout Karnataka was the fact that the genius had landed in the industry and his first word was 'chanaigideera'!! The entire hall went dark and on the screen came ARR and said Chanaigideera, this was followed by a huge applause! Ar rahman spoke for a few minutes including a few kannada words.He apologised for not being there as he was busy with the music for provoked and had to leave for london. The video ended and they played the audio visual of all the songs! It was amazing! The songs and the video! Followin was an interactive session and it was unbeleivable and the people including the media approached us as Rahman had mentioned the presence of his fans -which seemed like a direct arrow pointing to the two of us! The actor,Dhyan, and the actress,Sharmila both claimed to be huge Rahman fans and showed interest in joining the group.Infact Dhyan was too happy to meet us and said i would love to be called a Rahmaniac too! The entire event was loaded with camera clicks-and a lot of glamour.The entire sajni team spoke to us on Ar rahman and beyond doubt, the presence of the genius would have made an everest of a difference- Here's what people had to say about AR rahman "It's a dream come true for me as Mr.Rahman to compose for one of my films....Thanks sir! Actually i never thought i would get this chance and my wait was in bollywood but im glad the kannada industry gave me this opportunity!"-Dhyan aka sammir, the hero of the movie. "love and luck to all the rahman fans"-sammir again. "Rahman you rock"- Indrajit Lankesh, noted Kannada director Apparently Mr.Lankesh is starting off with a bollywood film and asked us how to appraoch Rahman.It was quite a priveldge answering that! "To Rahman, the family of Sajini is very proud to be associated with you sir!! welcome to the kannada industry and looking forward to a lovely long relationship" -Mrs.Sonali Nikhil, the producer. "Rahman is a legend.Me and my husband have always loved working with and i will always enjoy working with him inspite of the waits.Like my husband says Rahman is like the pain of a pregnant woman who forgets all the pain when she sees her baby.So music of Rahman for all our films from Jeans to provoked and sajni is the joy of delivering the beautiful baby.God bless him and all his fans who love him so much" - Mr and Mrs.Sunanda murali, the co producers and presenters of the movie." They are also producing the movie provoked starring Aishwarya Rai. "I know all the songs in Tamil.That is enough to say how much i love him" -Ms.Sharmila, the actress of the movie. "We just love Rahman too much" -The big Fm team present there! The Cd's were launched and they called the Two rahman fans on dias and gave us copies to each.Indeed the honor is tremendrous! The media flocked us and approached us on Ar rahman.We spoke about the group.Lets hope we get good coverage.Even the Big Fm team was inquisitive on the group.The production team obliged to release the rahman video and the media team obliged to release the photos. It was such a priveledge to be a Rahmaniac out there! The reach was amazing, and the kind of respect we got was awesome! Certain things cant be told but be felt! The feeling i still strong within.Finally, the event got appetising-with Champagne and dinner to follow.Well, with the hero's arm on your shoulder and the heroine next to you, with the producers just in front of you, you really cant eat it much, can you??? " My due apologies for the delay..!! And for the team, no disappointments-Mrs.Sonali Nikhil has given us one more honour-she has agreed to work with us for all publicity and events!
